Equipment rental
Built for the branch that lives on a map.
Rental sales is not inside sales with a nicer truck. Demand shows up as dirt moving, a drywall hang, a shutdown, a festival. The buyer is often a contractor who already has three other yards calling. The job is to be on the right pad, with the right iron, before the competitor’s machine is unloaded.
What breaks in a generic CRM
- Accounts imported from billing, listed in the wrong city, still treated as ‘in territory.’
- A lead for every jobsite, duplicating the company the branch already runs.
- No notion of catalog fit — a plumber and a dirt GC look the same.
- A manager asking ‘what did you do today’ from a dashboard the rep does not trust.
What EquipLead does instead
Zones are polygons. Projects and permits attach to companies. Existing renters surface first. Fit is against what you rent. The rep gets a who-to-call list for the zone they are in. The DSM sees coverage, not a stop-level interrogation.
The live product is used on an Omaha–Council Bluffs equipment rental territory. That is not a case study with a made-up lift in pipeline. It is where the polygons, the catalog, and the book were proven.
